Job Type: 

Permanent.

Job Location: 

Candidates will be placed at Projects / Power Stations/ Offices including Joint Ventures & Subsidiary Companies of NHPC across country or abroad.

Salary / Pay Scale: 

Rs. 5O,OOO-3%-1,6O,OOO (IDA) (E2) during one year training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer / Officer on the same scale with probation of one year. The total annual emoluments for the new joinee shall be approx. Rs. 15 Lakh.

Educational Qualification: 

Details fo post wise educational qualifications are as under –


  • Trainee Engineering: Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Thermal Engineering / Mechanical & Automation Engineering
  • Trainee Officer (HR): PG Degree / PG Diploma / PG Program in Management with specialization in Human Resource / Human Resource Management / Human Resource Management & Labour Relations / Industrial Relations / Personnel Management / Personnel Management & Industrial Relations / Industrial Relations & Personnel Management OR Masters in Social Work with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations OR s Masters of Human Resource and Organisational Developments (MHROD) OR MBA in HR
  • Trainee Officer (Law): Graduate Degree in Law (Professional) (3 years LLB or 5 Years Integrated Course)
  • Trainee Officer (Finance): CA or CMA.

Age Limit: 


  • The upper age limit is 3O years.


  • The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC (Non- creamy layer). It is relaxable by 1O years for PwBD – General, 13 years for PwBD – OBC and 15 years for PwBD – SC/candidates.

Selection Process: 

Trainee Engineers will be selected through GATE 2O2O Score, Trainee Officer (Law) will be selected through CLAT 2O2O Score, Trainee Officer (HR) will be selected through UGC NET June 2O2O Score, Trainee Officer (Finance) will be selected through merit-based on CA/CMA Score.
